![]() A desperate gamble but clearly it paid off. I currently have a ticket pending with Steam Support <- Not particularly hopeful about this avenueĮDIT: After Several hours more of Troubleshooting I got desperate enough to do a full reinstall of windows tonight (Totally fresh, not a repair) and now it works great! Resolved all but 1 of my issues. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many of the other issues I've been able to work around or mitigate in some fashion but this one continues to elude me and has me at a full stop with no idea on a path forward. Click the Power Management tab, and then de-select Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power option. I've also experienced a massive host of other problems resulting in me doing basically nothing but troubleshoot the vive for 16 of the last 24 hours. Click the Details tab, and then select Hardware IDs from the drop-down list. Leveraged "Remove all SteamVR USB Devices" several times with varying states of plugged and unplugged HMD. Tried at least 3 different USB ports (All 2.0) ![]() I've tried toggling it on/off, same error in both modes Uninstalling steam and reinstalling steam (keeping steamapps folder) Uninstalling SteamVR and reinstalling SteamVR (both the "Standard" version and the latest Beta) Uninstalling my GPU drivers (reboot) and then upgrading to both revisions above one at a time Upgrading my GPU (290X) to the newest driver set (16.4.1)ĭowngrading my GPU to the last driver set (16.3.2) I have one other monitor plugged in via DVI to the same GPU, I have tried a different monitor via HDMI as an alternate to my main monitor, same effect. Here the are the things I've tried:Ĭonnecting the HMD through HDMI (HMD -> Vive Box -> GPU)Ĭonnecting the HMD through mini Displayport to Displayport (HMD -> Vive Box -> GPU) When I attempt to launch other games they show up on my main monitor, Status goes to "Ready" and then both Steam and SteamVR proceed to Crash (No popup errors). In the "Not Ready" state this leave me I can launch the tutorial and I can complete the room calibration but I can't launch any games. ![]() ![]() Clicking the "Make Compositor Fullscreen" link appears to do nothing. Occasionally it will go back to a "Launch Compositor" error but then I can click the link and that appears to clear. The primary issue I am facing right now is that I can't get the "Make Compositor Fullscreen" error to clear. Flickering and showing compositor screen is generally caused by Unity not being able to Render a frame. As of yet I haven't been able to enjoy my Vive. I've been lurking on the thread for a while and drastically picked up consumption yesterday when my Vive landed. The compositor will need to be full screen, but the game does not. ![]()
